International Anti-Corruption Day observed in Lalpur

International Anti-Corruption Day 2022 was celebrated in Lalpur Upazila of Natore district with the theme of ‘World united against corruption’. On the initiative of the upazila anti-corruption committee and with the support of the upazila administration, the program was inaugurated on Friday morning by hoisting the flag of the National and Anti-Corruption Commission, blowing festoons and balloons in the upazila premises. Later human chain and discussion meeting was held.

Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Acting Upazila Executiv Officer Debashish Basak presided over the meeting in the Upazila Parishad meeting room. Upazila Chairman Isahaq Ali was present as the chief guest. Upazila Corruption Prevention Committee vice-president Nurul Islam, general secretary and weekly Padmaprabah editor Professor Mozammel Haque, brave freedom fighter Abdur Razzak, North Bengal Sugar Mills High School assistant teacher Ziaur Rahman, Shah Alam Salim and others spoke.
